Review of Doc Hollywood (1991) by Tomas T — 16 Jul 2010
This middle period of Michael J Fox's career is a forgotten patch of time as most now remember his 80s run (Back To The Future, Teen Wolf) or his post Spin City battle with Parkinsons. Many will forget that around the release of Doc Hollywood, many critics were touting this film as being the end of his career, or at least, the audiences had stopped attending.
But upon reflection, its always good to see Fox in anything and this film doesn't really disappoint. Co-starring Harrelson and Bridget Fonda at the peak of their burgeoning careers, the overall vibe of the supporting cast is quirky and pleasant.
Its not rocket science, but its not terrible either. A slow but charming film.
