Review of DOA: Dead or Alive (2006) by Reetesh Y — 19 May 2009
Saw on TV,Plain advice, dont do it if you want to watch a totally bad movie. Get it on DVD.
There are a lot of crazy things going on in the movie which make it worth watching when you have nothing better to do. Its super cheesy yet good :P.
It makes a good amount of references to the game and doesnt feel like something that just used the games name for getting viewers (ala Max Payne) Fans of the game might be disappointed watching the really bad actor choices, but still, its kind of funny to sit and see how the filmmakers made them all fit into something (mildly) coherent.
The actor choices were pretty bad though. Worst choice for Kasumi, the ultimate beauty of DOA. Only good thing was Jamie Pressly from My name is Earl, she fitted quite nicely to the character. Watching Kevin Nash as Bash was also quite entertaining :D.
If you want something that is loaded with randomness and cheesyness and doesnt explain itself in anyway. Watch it and waste some hours :P.
