Review of DOA: Dead or Alive (2006) by Henry B — 26 May 2010
Probally the best video game adaptation to hit the big screen ever. It is very straight with the source material and is a blast to sit through and watch. I never really felt like it was a men's only affair either claimed by many critics. Even if so, it is a based off a video game with bouncing boobs everywhere so I think it might of did it right in that part. This is why we watch movies, to be entertained and like the Matrix and other action films that's what this movie does.
You can claim it doesn't have a story all you want but when it comes to fun this movie nails it. Beautiful scenery and beautiful women and it's so close to the actual games feel aside from some huge boobs that any fan of the game, women, or action will really enjoy this film.
Highly recommended.
