Wow, just wow. There aren't enough words in the English Language to describe how exhilarating of a film going experience I had while watching this film. I loved Crash, but now I appreciate that film much less.

This film makes Driving Miss Daisy look like complete and utter dog shit. And that is being generous. This film is a brilliant look into the dimensions of racism, what causes it, that no one from both sides are perfect, and that simple misunderstanding can lead to shear chaos.

When this film ends, you will be left thinking, and yet also absolutely dumb founded, because you won't know what to conclude about what you just saw. If Driving Miss Daisy is one dimensional, and Crash is two dimensional, then this is a perfect example of a world where each and every character is perfectly defined, and we didn't even need to know their back story to realize that.

Once again, this if proof that if you want to make a Best Picture winner (with a few obvious exceptions), then taking chances, asking the tough questions, pulling no punches, being bold in your film making, and being free to go past the norm just does not cut it for the Academy.

One of the greatest films ever made.
