Racial Tension is woven through out this spike lee film. As the temperature get's hotter each day, so does the racial tension. as controversial this film was in 1989, it still is as relevant today as it was then.
What makes this film so special is these moments of reconciliation amongst the racial tension, and racism from all races not just whites against blacks.
