Review of Do the Right Thing (1989) by Raju S — 22 Dec 2010
No film represents the confusion and complexity of racism in America better than "Do the Right Thing". The film has a fantastic ensemble cast with many iconic performances. The film begins as a comedy on race, but ends with profound questions on the value of life regardless of race and the clash between peace and violence in the fight for equality.
Spike Lee's masterpiece is as important today as it was over twenty years ago and is a cinematic classic that will provoke conversation.
