Review of Django (1966) by Alex N — 25 Apr 2008
I have never seen a character so raw, so devilishly heroic, so difinitive of the word BAD ASS. Django is my hero, straight up. This movie is not as quality as mainstream spaghetti westerns, but being a low budget indie film, they took risks that studios would not.
The production design is certainly up to par with other films of the genre, and I'd argue to say the acting is as well. There are elements of the film that are inconcievable, but they prove to be just as entertaining as Django's continual onslaught.
The ending is sick like no other, and the theme song is amazing. Worth seeing more than once. More than ten times, really.
