Review of Django (1966) by Trevor A — 21 Nov 2008
A beast of a Spaghetti Western!! Stars Franco Nero as Django. A coffin-dragging gunslinger gets caught up with the KKK and a gang of Mexican Bandits. Cue rapid gunfire and loads of action with a couple of disturbing scenes.
Franco Nero does a superb job as Django. The soundtrack is great and the dubbing is a bit off in places. But this is what you come to expect with the Spaghetti Westerns. It's all adds to the great atmosphere of the film.
Although the three Clint Eastwood films have the edge in terms of quality, this is definitely up there with them as regards the actual film. Go Django!!
