Review of Dixie Chicks: Shut Up and Sing (2006) by Marco S — 09 Aug 2007
I will admit, before this entire controversy started with them and that moron Bush, I had barely heard of these beautiful country singers.
Afterward, they became household names. Through it all, they had to endure the mass stupidity not only of a country that had been brainwashed by Bush Croonies, but the idiotic Country Music scene and some of their own fans turning on them.
I guess in a country that prides istelf on freedom of Speech, many Americans still can't handle it when an entertainer goes against the grain and speaks his or her mind.
This was a great documentary on the group and how they struggled to deal with the controversy, the death threats, family life and their careers.
Truly amazing that they were able to survive and (in my mind) are being vindicated through the truths that are leaking out each day about the lies spread by Bush and his minions.
The entire country owes these women and apology.
