Dixie Chicks: Shut Up and Sing is a documentary film produced and directed by Academy Award-winning director Barbara Kopple and Cecilia Peck.

The movie travels with the Dixie Chicks, from the peak of their popularity as the national-anthem-singing darlings of country music and top-selling female recording artists of all time, through the now infamous anti-Bush comment made by the group's lead singer in 2003. The film follows the lives and careers of the Dixie Chicks over a period of three years during which they were under political attack and received death threats, while continuing to live their lives, have children, and of course make music.

A really nice documentary. It shows the struggle of the Chicks after the 2003 "accident" in an honest way. Plus, you've got to hear some great Dixie Chicks music in it. Shut Up and Sing is an informative one, but yet managed to still entertains everyone who watch it. Oh, maybe some lines from the movie could describe the thoughts of some Americans on freedom of speech: Freedom of speech is fine but by God you don't do it outside of the country and you don't do it in mass publicly. Watch this one!
