Review of Divergent (2014) by Schroederrock — 14 Oct 2015

Divergent is a lesser Hunger Games to me. It has moments of great flash and fun, but isn't executed as masterfully. There's a really good movie series here, but that's only if the cast, direction and writing can ascend the norm.

Flashy production is easy to come by, but if we scrape past the surface and the soul of this Divergent Series isn't in-tact, then it becomes a house of cards. A promising start, but will it develop into something greater? Time will tell.
