Review of District 9 (2009) by Casey K — 27 Feb 2015
How was this film nominated for four academy awards, including Best Picture? The film could have been really interesting if it continued the documentary style it started with. But within 30 minutes of the film that style is totally abandoned and we get a typical cookie cutter story.
The aliens are disgusting and I had no sympathy for them whatsoever, except for the one alien that seemed to have a half a brain. The whole man turns into alien made no sense. The whole movie seemed to be poorly planned and anyone with a little common sense could see through this.
