Review of District 13: Ultimatum (2009) by Ray T — 13 Feb 2010
This sequel to Banlieue 13 has less parkour, more fight choreography and more story. Tightly edited action thriller, the lead actor Cyril Raffaelli also did the excellent fight choreography. I would put him up there with Corey Yuen and Yuen Wo-Ping in the choreography department.
The corrupt Internal Security chief is framing gangsters to promote an all out war and clean up of District 13 so urban renewal can commence. He does so because he is receiving a kickback from the Harriburton (that's right!3) Corporation who will be receiving the re-building contract.
Wonderful comic book style action.
