Review of District 13: Ultimatum (2009) by Ademon T — 16 May 2010
David Belle and Cyril Raffaelli (Hamster Boy from Live Free or Die Hard) team up once again to parkour the asses of several corporate and civil assholes in a spectacle of awesome action sequences, with a mind-numbingly cliche story. Actually, I found the story to be almost identical to the first one: missiles are being sent to destroy District B 13 and Leito and friends must find a way to save their slums. Except in this one, the end of blowing it up anyways!!
If you like parkour, free-running, crazy action stunts, AND you don't mind the french subtitles, give this one a go. It's a decent flick, but if you've already seen the first one, this is clearly a retread. Not much in terms of acting, story, set-up or character development, just super glue your nuts to the rollercoaster this film calls itself, and hope to hang on for the ride!! You want great action, you've found a good movie, O friend of friend ;).
