Review of Disenchanted (2022) by Ccateni — 01 Jan 2023
Undoes the first film in the first few minutes. The music isn't as good this time and feels like padding. Cheaper than the first one despite being years later. Makes the characters unlikable for no reason, and they get really brain dead by the end.
The villian could have been defeated easily, yet wasn't because the character became dumb for the storh and the wish shouldn't have worked since it was too broad and shouldn't have undone everything. Also why does a clock decide when it's midnight? Do digital clocks not exist? This film raises too many questions in regards to the character and plot choices. It's so frustrating.
Just watch the first film. It's smarter and a Disney classic. This is a cheap sequel made years after the fact to cash in on the original film.
P.S. James Marsden (i.e. Donut Lord from the Sonic movies) was the best part for the 2 minutes he got. What a waste of a great character.
