Review of Dirty Pretty Things (2002) by Eric K — 28 Nov 2009

A film featuring the struggles of two illegal Turkish and Nigerian immigrants in London-- the common bond which pulls them together, and their struggles to prevent deportation and obtain a better life.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. The acting was top notch, although it can be rather gutwrenchingly painful to watch at times. Certainly a drama, it's not something you'll look for when you want an upbeat, cheerful film.

:) However, it is certainly one worth watching.
