Review of Diner (1982) by Greg O — 27 Aug 2008
Great film! Even 25+ years after its initial release. Excellent cast. Steve Guttenberg loves his character and it shows in his performance which is joyful and hysterical, yet suprisingly nuanced. These characters are real.
And the film transports you to another time and place thanks to the solid writing and directing of Mr. Levinson. He lets his actors bring so many details to their roles that you'd have to watch the film multiple times to appreciate each performance.
"Diner" is a gem! A keeper! GTO.
