Review of Diner (1982) by Jeremy S — 11 Jul 2007
Great film, and like all great films set in the past, it transcends nostalgia and remains both funny and knowing. The screenplay is great and the dialogue is natural and true.
Also, it is quite an unusaul narrative in a way, as there is no real plot as such - more a series of things that happen - could be classified with Cassavetes, Linklater and Bujalski.
