I have to qualify this. For a movie of this budget, of this caliber, of this 'grade', it is really freakin' awesome. There are many moments of groan-worthy ham-handedness both in front of and behind the camera. But then again there are many more hilarious moments, moments of manic strangeness, moments of genius-level badness.
If nothing else, this movie introduced me to the surreal genius of rockabilly legend, Hasil Adkins. Get all his albums right now and rock out.
