Review of Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995) by Krzysztof Z — 08 Jan 2011
Wow. This was an awesome Action Movie and the best Part of the Die Hard Franchise (in my Opinion). The Story this time evolves around John McLain who gets tracked into a game from a guy who named himself Simon.
He says he hided a lot of Bombs in New York and if McLain doesn't do what he says they go of. But this Time McLain isn't alone. A Black Guy from Harlem named Zeus who saved McLain from a group of Teenagers gets dragged into this too.
How it's later revealed all this Games are just a disguise for another bigger Project. The Brother from Hans Gruber the Villian in Part One named Simon Gruber wanted to make the biggest Bank Robbery in history and for this he gave the Police another THing to think about.
THe Story is really well done and good deliverd. I like how they bring the First Movie into this. The Chracters are great the old ones and the new ones. Especially Samuel L. Jackson as Zeus and Jeremy Irons as Simon Gruber.
The Performances are good too. The Action is really cool and it's the hole time full of Suspense. There aren't that many shootouts but it has some other good Scenes (like the bomb in the Park Scene, or how they must get to the Subway Station on the Wall Street).
The Effects were well done but the best was the Explosion at the beginning. The Soundtrack is good and I really Love the Duo Jackson and Willis. The Fit together so good and I like their Word Fights over every little Thing.
It has some good JOkes too. All in all one of the best Action Movies of all Time and the best part of the Die Hard Franchise. For Fans of this or of Action Movies this is a must see.
