Review of Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995) by Vitor A — 08 Sep 2012
3rd installement of John MacLane's adventures, the fearless New York cop played by Bruce Willis. After the sky-scraper in LA and an airport in Washington, MacLane is now forced to play a game of "Simon Says" with gigantic proportions in the streets of New York city.
Jeremy Irons is Simon, a terrorist who probably watched Speed one too many times! John McTiernan returns to the director's chair, and shows every imitator how to put together an excellent action flick, capable of holding the suspense from first to the last minute, always applying the right amount of humour and irony, for the sake of an amazing story.
A fine exercise in style, with Willis and Sam Jackson playing dangerous games with Irons whilst maneuvering in a city turned into cinematic playground.
