Review of Die Hard (1988) by Brady L — 11 Dec 2017
The greatest Christmas movie that has nothing to do with Christmas other then it takes place near Christmas and has a holiday party.Bruce Willis was made by this film. He's witty, charming and brutal all at once and it makes for a compelling character.
Alan Rickman was amazing as Hans Gruber. That accent late in the film when he is trying to fool John into trusting him was pure genius. Reginald ValJohnson continued his career as the guy who is a cop in everything he does and nearly stole some of the scenes he had with Bruce Willis.
The movie flies along at a torrid pace and is simply awesome. The brutality of some of the deaths and the sheer amount of blood packs make this must see. Even the scene of McClane cleaning his severely cut up feet after a fire fight shows him as a wounded but determined man.
This film should be on everyone's holiday watch list every year.
