It was poorly acted, predictable, preachy and pretentious. It seemed like George Romero decided to copy a lot of recent trends such as the hand held camera look, fake documentary, movie within a movie etc.
It didn't work well. Romero it seems from the dialog and characters that he doesn't know how people act only how they act in mediocre movies.
