I was always a fan of the Diaries of a Wimpy kid series but this one was a big step below the first 3. Holly was not in it and lacked cute girls. It is an all new cast for the kids since there was a big gap since Dog Days.
The parents, Greg, and Rodrick all act cheezy throughout the movie doing dumb things that were entertaining to see. It really wasn't that bad but it was just a kids movie with not that big of a budget to do anything that crazy.
It reminds me of the remake of vacation but at least that was more funnier than this.
