Review of Diary of a Mad Black Woman (2005) by Kena D — 06 Feb 2009
ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES!! I don't care if others didn't like it, this was such a great movie. It had everything; humor, drama, great acting. The main actress was so pretty; she looked like a young Whitney Houston.
And Shemar Moore....mmm. he was eye candy. I loved the theme of her as a weakling in the beginning, controlled by her asshole husband, and then, towards the end of the film, she becomes strong. It reminded me of my ex, and I was like; that would be cool to have him get an accident, and I can pay him back.
My favorite scenes were when she was taking care of him after he got paralyzed in a wheelchair, and he coudln't move. She got the salad and pushed it across the dinner table angrily, and he couldn't eat it although he was hungry.
Or the time when she pushed him into the whirlpool tub, that was sooooo great!! I was like; GO GIRL!! I feel this was one of the best Tyler Perry films. And the fact he could play both a woman and man, that shows his amazing talent.
