Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Dylan W — 07 Jul 2008
Connery seems even more bored than in "You only live twice." Jill St. John is great, but underused... the plot is sloppy, but great fun. But Charles Gray as Blofeld just doesnt add up and Guy Hamilton is a smug director who thinks he can get away with anything (including a lackluster finale) simply because he directed Goldfinger.
Jimmy Dean is excellent as Willard Whyte (an imitation/parody of Howard Hughes).
