Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Aidan H — 02 Aug 2008
The beginning of the end for Connery here with one of the worst Bonds ever. Tacky jokes and Vegas locations and with a wasted but beautiful Jill St. John providing the dumb babe factor, this is as podgey and greying as Connery himself.
The inclusion of a couple of gay assassins does nothing to heighten the taste factor. While there are some positives in some of the action sequences the writing was on the wall for Sean.
