Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Paul K — 17 Jan 2010
As a 007 fan, this review might be the opposite of what others think, but it needs to be said. While this 007 flick brings Connery back, he seems old and his charisma is just not what it used to be like it was 10 years ago.
While the story is dull, the action scenes are the one thing this movie has going its way. The henchman were just weird and not even scary, the main bond girl was annoying, and the ultimate battle at the end is nothing more than a few punches.
For fans a must-see, but to non-007 fans if you had a choice pick another Connery flick or try your luck with a Brosnan or Dalton. MISSION FAILED.
