Review of Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999) by Adrian N — 13 Jan 2011
I honestly do not like Rob Schneider. He's an unfunny, racist absurdist who play so many perverts in all his movies. Critics do not like him. I don't because he's not into my wavelengths of humour. So to prove that I truly and utterly hate him, his most famous movie Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo was on TV.
Rob Schneider plays title character who is a fish tank cleaner of a seaside restaurant and because he has no taste in women at all, so he just do his work cleaning fishes. When a male prostitute asks him to look after his million dollar mansion while he is on a business trip, he burnt his house and destroys his fish tank. So when he needs the money to repair the home, he becomes a male prostitute where not only he get more than $1000 an hour but will be good for the ladies.
Deuce Bigalow is an awful movie with its cringingly juvenile and witless humor not to be seen by anyone. There's fat jokes, fart jokes, jokes about diseases and any other jokes too much to list. Not only does he star in this turd, he also wrote and direct it which is all the blame goes to him.
Its female characters are often depicted as she-devils and also caricatured to many serious illnesses to what Schneider thinks its funny. There's a giant, a girl with Tourettes, a chick who has a sleeping disorder and his love interest who has a wooden leg and every scene between Schneider and that girl leads to her crying at all times.
There's also a detective who pulls down his pants so he can hunt him down but then breakdown because he has a thin penis.
And Schneider is a poor fellow which I will never give him the benefit of the doubt because he still makes movies about himself. What a self-centred son of a bitch.
Kids who usually enjoy this type of movie will be a sucker for this one.
D+ (1.6).
