The story was told adequately but the police on Black brutality was too mind numbing for my taste. John Boyega 's performance seemed very bland. I kept waiting for someone, anyone to do something heroic.

I know it supposedly was based on a true story but it felt like the feel- bad movie of the year for me. Not enough character development to make you really care as much as you should..
