Review of Detroit (2017) by Thesodomizer — 02 Jan 2018
Detroit is a very deep about essentially police brutality.Kathryn Bigelow again doesn't cease to amaze me. This movie had good ideas, knew where they are going with them and executed those ideas to near perfection.
The time of the Detroit riot (1967) was one of the bloodiest race riots in U.S. history and this movie showed that in a realistic way. Detroit, for me, was a learning lesson and isn't for the faint hearted.
A big congratulations to Kathryn Bigelow and the cast for putting so much heart and effort in this motivational take on the Detroit Riot.
