Review of Detroit (2017) by Eric C — 15 Aug 2017
DETROIT 10 out of 10.
My soul literally cried in this movie. This movie reminded me why GOD chose me to be a social advocate for people with their backs against the wall. I replayed it in my mind several ways this tragedy could have been avoided. Who?s to blame? Why? But, the true horror is that someone had to endure this. This movie struck a chord. One night, the cops pulled me and a friend over and falsely accused me of shooting at a cop. They made several accusations. They slammed my face into the pavement and held me there for over an hour. Looking for a gun, they searched my vehicle and even removed all my car seats. No apologies. No sorry. They just left. I forgave them, I had too and I blocked this event out of my mind. Sometimes I forget all the unseen dangers GOD protected me from. Back to the movie DETROIT. Great story and it moved at a good pace. The performances were outstanding from the black and white victims to the cops. You deserve to see this movie in a theatre. This movie will become a timeless classic.
