Review of Detroit (2017) by Trevor T — 03 Aug 2017
Had it been named Algiers Motel and had the story begun there, perhaps, it would have garnered more stars. It lacked substance as to the tension and boiling point that sparked the riots, very underdeveloped for such a long film. But...I must say the event that took place at the Algiers Motel was superbly directed.
Overall, this film had so much potential but proved to be an overwhelming feat for the writer.
