Review of Detroit (2017) by Bl 1 — 26 Jul 2017
Powerful, frustrating, and horrifying.
The horrifying events taken place during the Detroit riots is closely examined on this biopic, with fantastic directing by Katheryn Bigelow and a fantastic cast with the outstanding performance by Algee Smith gives this movie the power it deserves. Detroit tells a story from years that still shadows us to this day, and surely make it the most powerful Oscar contender.
