The film lacks of focus, I don't really know where it was headed. Good theme and I understand the moral the director is trying to get to, but I'm afraid it was not well-developed in the story. A lot of the things that happened in the film are so predictable, and I don't like films that are especially made to make people cry, to teach people something.
When a movie does all of these things accidentally, the movie succeeds, but when it is planned, in the case of Detachment, the movie fails.
