Review of Destination Moon (1950) by Okkay W — 11 May 2007

I don't want to say that this movie is boring but...it is. kind of. But it isn't a bad movie. I admire it in many ways. Its biggest problem is that I watched it now in 2007. I figure when it came out it was amazing and people saw it and went "wow!" but viewing it now it doesn't seem amazing.

It isn't the kind of movie that is so bad it is amusing to watch with friends and laugh. There were certainly a few moments where we laughed at things but overall you have to appreciate the movie for trying to be educational and accurate. Movies like this are likely to have it harder when trying to withstand the "test of time." It is an interesting movie and there is a lot to appreciate but honestly, it is kind of boring here in 2007.
