Review of Despicable Me (2010) by Lawrence T — 26 Jun 2017
Despicable Me is clever, colorful, high-tech, and a very unique animated comedy. It all starts with Gru, a prestiges villain who couldâ??t quite feel the love until he felt the joy of being an â??uncommonâ?? parent.
With a bunch of hilarious animated humor, gizmos, and a frolicking adventure, the movie never tends to sit still except for most of the heart-felt scenes that includes an ending that is most touching almost since Toy Story.
This film also includes oddly-shaped, but well thought out characters such as Gru himself, the smart but hilarious arch nemesis known as Vector, the three girls, and of course the minions. When it comes to my specific opinions, the minions may be a bit overrated, but they are just about as funny to watch.
Gru is easily my favorite character as he is voiced by one of the top-most comedians Steve Carell. Overall the film is much my kind of style in ways when it comes to funny animated movies for the entire family, loving it since it was out on disc, and a good classic during my teen years.
