Review of Despicable Me (2010) by Brett H — 24 May 2014
Wonderfully charming family entertainment with a fun idea, solid voice-work, and good characters! The minions are an anomoly and steal the entire movie; I have no idea how they created them! Steve Carell's vocal performance is also great and he helps bring the laughs with his exaggerated indiscernible accent! It's fairly predictable and harmless, being very accessible to kids and has a few touching moments near the end.
