Review of Despicable Me (2010) by Michelle C — 06 Apr 2015

The minions are something of a pop culture icon that before seeing the film I felt I knew a lot about them and was not sure if I would like this movie. However I was pleased that they were not as central a feature as I thought they would be: the film actually centres more around Gru and the three girls which is a funny, sparky and heart-warming tale.

For me it was still missing something to elevate it to the same level as my favourite Pixars and classics such as How to Train Your Dragon, but it was still fab - children's films are most definitely not just for children these days!
