Review of Desperado (1995) by Mariano C — 12 Jan 2009

You have to give it to Rodriguez for making cool pictures, but it's not only about cool, sometimes you have to have an actual story. It's stylish, there's a great atmosphere and the characters are all particular, but, it's a cliché shoot-em up western type movie but exagerated.

There's great action scenes and about a gazillion shots fired that don't hit target, guitar cases that are actually guns and rocket launchers, and the sexiest man alive 1995 dodging bullets and banging Selma.

It's enjoyable but mindless, I prefer other Rodriguez titles that are enjoyable but actually have an original story.
