Rodriguez has a talent, ill give him that. my FAVOURITE director, is none other than john woo, and I must say that rodriguez has come closer to his genius than anyone else has tried to mimic.

Spectacular gun fights, interesting stories and pure awesomeness erupt from the movie.

But with the awesome fun of this movie, some of it does drag slightly. well firstly, the story was more interesting in the the original "El Mariachi," than it is in Desperado.

It continues, from what ive gathered, quite a while after the first movie. El is killing off drug dealers, avenging the death of his love, domino, and the loss of his ability to play guitar properly.

The last drug dealer on his hit list is a man called Bucho, and his men are responsible for El's loss.

So the movie pretty much circles around him trying to kill Bucho, with the help of Carolina (Salma Hayek) whom he picks up along the way.

The action in this movie is STUNNING to say the least. rodriguez knows exactly what he is going to do, how he is going to do it and knows exactly how he wants it.

The bar shootout not long into the beginning is a standout, obviously. man, if the movie kept going like that, rodriguez comes that close to giving mr woo a run for his money. the shootouts are that good.

The movie opens spectacularly and keeps on going but toward the end and sometimes in the middle it drags slightly.

Sometimes it becomes uninteresting and after a while, I couldnt help thinking that desperado needed to pick up its game.

Well what I was left with was still awesome to say the least, and stands in my top 10 list.

Banderas and hayek are fantastic as are the supporting actors, the cameo with quentin tarantino is hilarious!

Speaking of which, the movie has plenty of laughs too, not just from the insane shootouts, but some sharp script writing.

In the end, desperado is a much above average action movie, and the best of the trilogy. while it is very different from the $7000 predecessor, which managed to be more interesting and immersive, this is all mainly due to the budget of desperado, which delivers much more explosions and action, which is all the more fun.

Enjoy desperado! :D.
