Review of Descent (2007) by Brandon W — 31 Mar 2015
The Descent is the most terrifying British film I have ever seen, which is saying a lot as this is better than most American horror films these days. It's really cool to see an all girl cast in a horror film, and the cast are great too.
The characters are memorable, and some of the girls get some awesome moments. At the beginning, it's really funny which makes me more interested and want to see the girls to survive for what's coming to them.
The scares are really effective, and it really gives you a sense of claustrophobic. The creatures look really scary, and the make-up looks really good. It's really smart, and the camerawork is really good.
It's really compelling, and the soundtrack sounds really creepy. Neil Marshall did a fantastic job with The Descent, and he knows how to make a terrifying movie.
