Review of Derrida (2002) by Susan C — 30 Sep 2008
Interesting enough film for a guy that is considered a brilliant thinker but in my opinion is anything but. I felt kind of bad for his brother, whose questioning of how Jacques came to be so intelligent from his family felt a more honest question than most of Jacque's mumbo-jumbo.
It's easy to see the appeal of him to English departments--the author, the "Other"--yet for their own good and credibility, really need to look elsewhere -- and stop using the word "Other" with a capital O, Jesus!!
