It is simply too bad this film adaptation of Dennis the Menace does not have a plot as competent as its production values.
John Hughes did not do enough to distinguish Hank Ketcham's cartoon from Home Alone, which was a funnier, nicer, and better film. There's not much to say, it's Dennis the Menace.
