Review of Dennis the Menace (1993) by Andrew C — 17 May 2013

I don't understand how ALL the critics missed the mark on this one. This movie is wonderful! A *perfect* blend of comedy and sentiment. And I love the understated score for this - nothing over the top, but it comes to symbolize the exact spirit of the movie. Mason Gamble as Dennis could not have been better cast or acted and I love Walter Matthau in this role.

I first saw this as a young teen - I thought it was funny then and I still do as a parent all these years later. I've suffered through quite a few horrible kids' movies on the big screen - this one, I gladly watch.
