Review of Denial (2016) by Cory F — 29 Jul 2017
Rachel Weisz is in my all-time top 5 best actresses but I wanted to just punch her face the majority of the movie. I don't know if Rachel Weisz's interpretation of the character was annoying or the real Deborah Lipstadt is unbearable and grating but there were several times I almost turned it off.
The screenplay is unnecessarily long and it is a courtroom drama without any drama. Every attempt at pulling the audience into uncertainty about the verdict is forced and ineffective. It's a good important story that didn't need to be put into a movie.
