Review of Déjà Vu (2006) by Paul M — 23 Feb 2013
Denzel Washington plays an ATF agent assigned to investigate a ferry bombing resulting in over 500 deaths. Impressed with his investigative skills, he's invited to join a special surveillance team who are using satellite imagery to watch footage from a few days earlier to help catch the bomber.
However, Denzel quickly discovers that he isn't watching past footage at all, but rather the team is actually looking through a live window back in time. When he learns he can send messages and objects through time, will he settle for catching the bomber, or break all the laws of physics and risk his own life to change the past? Awesome and inventive twist on time travel movies, although confusing if you tend to overthink the sci-fi aspects.
