Review of Defendor (2009) by Troy F — 11 Nov 2010

Defendor had a great story and an outstanding performance from Woody Harrelson that comes off both funny and sad too. I enjoyed the action and all, but it has one notable flaw. It is one of those movies that progresses slowly but develops and builds up to something great in the end.

I like these kinds of movies, but Defendor seems to develop and build up much later than you'd want it to. I mean, the ending and conclusion is great, but it seems like you're just waiting at times for things to pick up at the right time.

In other words, it's a pacing issue, but I really find it hard to use this factor against the overall structure of the film, which was otherwise good but could've been better.
