Review of Deepwater Horizon (2016) by Spencer K — 10 Oct 2016

While not without its fair share of cliches, Deepwater Horizon still manages to be a gripping and suitably effective edge of your seat thrill ride. Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg over again they make quite a team together.

First, doing the gripping Lone Survivor and now the equally gripping Deepwater Horizon, the two prove they are quite the pair. It pays respectful tribute to the lives lost in this tragic incident all while being entertaining and incredibly emotional.

It's not going to reinvent the disaster film genre, but it's a nice addition to it and one that could stick out in the crowded field of them.
