Review of Deepwater Horizon (2016) by Philip W — 10 Oct 2016

Another terrific film between Wahlberg and director Peter Berg (Lone Survivor), this film matches intensity, emotion, and action throughout. Fantastic chemistry is displayed on screen beyond just the main actors themselves which engages and draws sympathy from the crowd as the film progresses.

Although the ending is a bit short and sudden, Deepwater Horizon takes you into the aftermath of a natural disaster and does a terrific job of depicting a real, shocking story. Not a movie that will become very re-watchable, it drives it's meaning and value across in just a single viewing.

My favorite Marky Mark film to date.
